Window Sillouette. Only photoshopping that was done - was the B&W conversion. Done in raw - with saturation controls.
Inadvertant redoing of a work by the lovely and talented `khavi - sorry for ripping you off. It was unintentional. Plus, this is a little different. If that makes it any better. -- The model is Katie Pants. She came out to the studio again to do some glam. This was taken on the third floor. Comments
When silhouettes are done right they can look good, and did this one right, looks good, and yet at the same time it looks kinda peaceful. Good composure.
-- Im surrounded by freaks!! Futurama-club [link] Very film noir, until you get to the texture in the buildings outside. Then it looks like a very odd combination of reality and a comic book.
-- sign language photographic angst That's amazing. Reminds me of that scene in the crow... I think I haven't seen the movie in years.
I'm wondering if the crucifixion is intentional or just there, either way, turned out sweet. -- MORGASM1984.tk - pleasure over conformity I think you're definitely referencing a lot of different imagery here, and perhaps not intentionally. I've generally found that to be a good thing; allusions add layers. I think: stained glass, church, crucifix, halloween, film noir... Despite the pose, the slight cant of her hips, I think there's a defiant vulnerability here (which is difficult to achieve when we can't see any facial features).
Additionally, I enjoy the fact that we, as the viewers, can see a bit of the buildings beyond, just visible along the bottom; the image would not have worked for me nearly as much if we couldn't. |
