This is a special photograph - in terms of the back story. It was taken using a Leica MP Ala Carte. The same one featured here.
In this camera was an expired roll of slide film. This film was special because it was 1600iso. To my knowledge - not only was this film unavailable when I loaded it into my camera - but it hadn't been available for quite a few years. It was sort of a guilty pleasure buying this roll of film off ebay. I had NEVER worked with slide film successfully... so it was sorta a challenge to not only shoot an expired slide roll - but to do it manually in a leica. The location is Northampton MA. It was taken with `khavi one of the nights before I left for NYC. The colors have not been tweaked. Just a little vinnetting and contrast. ... It should be noted that also on this roll were photos dating at least back to when I was dating ~cmulcahy in Philadelphia. It must have been in the camera for at least a year... unfinished. Then it sat waiting to be developed for almost a year. Crazy. Comments
