Artist's Comments
On a recent trip to NYC, I must have taken photos of almost everything I saw. Picture opportunities just came out of the woodwork! Though... I missed this one. My father turned to me as we were walking by and said... "look at that building..." So I did... and he was right.
No airbrushing. The only manipulation was the cropping. And some very minor level adjustments. But they were very minor. I almost think this looks fake. My friend Nicole suggested it is because there is no visable depth between the building in the background (upper right corner) and the subject building. That my perspective makes it look flat and fake. Interesting Comments
I agree with Nicole about the lack of depth between the buildings contributing to its lack of reality. I dont know, the whole image just looks very surreal, especially with the advertising banner with the face. It just looks very surreal. I love it.
